Lyric Tree 1st Year Anniversary Paper

A few weeks a go it was my 1st wedding anniversary and in a bid to save a bit of cash my hubby and I decided we would make our gifts too each other. My husband is a very talented artist and did a pencil drawing of one of our wedding pictures and framed it. For me this was an ideal present.

My husband is also a musician so I wanted to something related to music for him, after scouring the internet I came across lyric trees which I thought looked beautiful, they were very creative and I thought that I could easily give it a go. So I went to town and bought a lovely photo frame and a couple of mounts and that was all I needed, so this present actually cost me less than £10.

I printed our wedding lyrics 'It Had To Be You' onto a piece of paper, then cut it out into the shape of a tree and then printed the music to 'It Had To Be You' on another sheet of paper which was contrasting. I had some hearts that we used for our wedding invitations and stuck them all down. The result was incredible, to date I would say this is the best thing that I have made so far and was one of the reasons for me wanting to get out and make a blog and do my own craft fair.
